A Few Committed a Crime, But Many Conspired To Keep the Crime Concealed from You.
A Few Committed a Crime, But Many Conspired To Keep the Crime Concealed from You.
Two prominent news people actually told us that if their newspaper did this story about Raley's, they both said that Raley's would close their doors.
Even when we went to a local printer named Dome Printing on Hwy 160 to have our father's book published, once they looked at the contents of his book, we were told we would have to go out of the area to have it published because no printer in Sacramento will take on this job.
Read the last line in Katy Grimes last email to me at the bottom.
That tells you everything that you need to know.
Was Raley's and the Teel's threatening everyone in Sacramento?

Subject: Truth Matters
Good Day Katy,
One of my brothers clipped the article that you wrote titled
"Why the Truth Matters".
I absolutely enjoyed it. Was that too dramatic? When you read or hear what my family has had to endure because of a "truth" about the wealthiest family in town, you will begin to understand why your article has touched our nerves and our hearts.
You stated in your article:
"Telling the truth has become a mockery and a nuisance for so many people" "Behaving truthfully and honestly is just no fun because the pursuit of one's happiness is more important."
Are you ready for the truth? In a nutshell.
Truth: In 1973 Tom Raley, owner of Raley's supermarkets was on the verge of bankruptcy.
Truth: In 1973 Raley's hired a retail consultant named Charles Nordby(our father) to implement his
program that he knew would save their company.
Truth: Raley's made big promises to Charles Nordby if his program would be successful.
Truth: Charles Nordby's program was successful, it saved Raley's from bankruptcy, and they became the most successful privately owned supermarket chain on the west coast.
Truth: Raley's defrauded Charles Nordby of the money that they had promised him.
Truth: All of Joyce Raley Teel's wealth of 1.2 billion dollars are the results of our dads work, and the fraud perpetrated against him, and that same fraud continues to this very day.
That is enough truth for one day. Oh! one more truth to leave you with. Joseph Farah, Union Editor in 1991 said to us when presented with this story:
"I have no reason to doubt this story to be true, but if Raley's were to pull their advertising dollars out of my newspaper, I would have to close my doors."
Are you still feeling good about "truth"? Katy, this is a pulitzer prize winning story. No one so far could afford to come against this local retailing giant and its unlimited advertising budget aka "hush money." This is Why the Truth Matters to us. Thank you for your insightful and enciteful article.
Now what do you do with the truth you have been given? I read that you are a native Sacramentan,
Have you ever heard this story before?
Have a great day,
Jack
P.S Did you know that there is a $100,000 reward to anyone who can disprove these truth's?
So here is the bottom line: Investigating this story is a win/win proposition for you.
Write a pulitzer prize winning article or collect $100,000.
I invited my girlfriend Lori Wylie, to join Katy Grimes and myself for lunch at a restaurant in downtown Sacramento. Katy appeared to be a very professional reporter. She was very intuitive about the legal nonsense that had surrounded this crime. She might have even mentioned that she was once married to an attorney and said that she even knew some of the names I had dropped in the course of the conversation. I assumed by the title of her article The Truth Matters, that everything that she was telling us was the truth.
After sharing with her the overall crux of my father's story, which was the incredible Raley's success story as well as the crimes that were committed against him by Raley's, the law firm of Downey, Brand, Seymour and Rohwer, the Judge Joe Gray and others, she didn't wink an eye about hesitating to report on this story.
Since she showed so much enthusiasm about this story, I even loaned her a copy of my father's book:
"Raley's Exposed-Who on Earth Saved Raley's".
There were only three other people in Sacramento who had copies of this book, Joyce Raley Teel, KCRA3 Stan Atkinson and the Sacramento Business Journal.
But every news person in Sacramento had access to it.
"See no evil, hear no evil, write no evil, speak no evil"
At this point she still has my fathers book and wants to return it. So I sent her an email of what is the best way for me to retrieve it. I am once again highly disappointed that another so-called reporter wants to renege on their word.
